Location: Romulus, MI Shift: Day Shift Pay: $16-18/hr (based on experience)
Job Summary
Workbox Staffing is hiring Industrial Sewers in Romulus, MI for a clean, safe manufacturing environment. This role focuses on operating industrial sewing machines to produce textile and canvas products used for awnings. This is a great opportunity for candidates with sewing experience who enjoy detailed, hands-on work and want long-term potential.
What You’ll Be Doing
As an Industrial Sewer, your core responsibilities will include:
  • Operate and maintain industrial sewing machines.
  • Work with bobbins, thread machines, control foot pedals, and use hand wheels as needed.
  • Sew textile and canvas materials used in awning production.
In addition, you will inspect finished products for quality, maintain a clean and organized workstation, follow safety procedures, and assist with other production duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
  • Previous industrial sewing experience required
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to pass a 5-panel drug screen
  • Ability to pass OTIS and NSOPW background checks
  • Willingness to learn and grow with the company
Skills & Physical Requirements:
  • Attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to sit for the majority of the shift
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
