Description

We are hiring Installation & Cable Technicians for projects in the Ames and Des Moines, IA area, as well as surrounding states. Some travel is required, and per diem is provided for travel assignments.

Candidates should have at least 6 months of low voltage experience. Individuals with relevant technical training, trade school education, or hands-on coursework will also be considered.

Responsibilities include:

  • Installing and terminating Cat6 and coaxial cabling
  • Installing data racks, cabinets, and faceplates
  • Testing and labeling cables
  • Assisting with the installation of cable boxes, modems, and satellite equipment
  • Supporting server closet buildouts and network infrastructure setups
  • Working both indoors and outdoors at schools, apartment complexes, and other commercial facilities
  • Assisting with trenching and directional drilling as needed
  • Following direction from project leads and adhering to site safety standards
