Schedule: Thursday to Sunday | 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Position Overview
Citadel Security USA is seeking a detail-oriented Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator to support remote monitoring and operational communications from our Fort Collins Operations Center. This position is responsible for observing live surveillance systems, coordinating responses to security incidents, reviewing officer activity, and maintaining accurate operational documentation.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals who can multitask, remain composed during active situations, and communicate effectively with field personnel, clients, and management.
Primary Responsibilities
Surveillance & Remote Monitoring
  • Monitor multiple live camera systems for suspicious activity, safety concerns, and operational issues.
  • Conduct scheduled virtual patrols and camera tours in accordance with client requirements.
  • Observe assigned locations to verify officer presence and compliance with post assignments.
  • Identify unusual activity and initiate appropriate response procedures.

Dispatch & Incident Coordination
  • Dispatch patrol officers or notify emergency responders when incidents require immediate attention.
  • Communicate operational updates to supervisors and field personnel.
  • Coordinate incident response activities while maintaining accurate records.
  • Escalate significant events in accordance with company procedures.

Documentation & Reporting
  • Prepare complete and accurate incident reports for dispatches, alarms, and notable events.
  • Review officer-submitted reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and professional quality.
  • Maintain detailed electronic logs documenting operational activity.
  • Ensure all reporting is completed in accordance with company standards.

Operational Support
  • Monitor officer compliance through camera observation and report performance concerns when appropriate.
  • Assist Operations Supervisors by providing real-time operational information.
  • Answer incoming calls from clients, officers, and internal personnel while providing professional assistance.
  • Maintain effective communication with management throughout each shift.

Video Systems Administration
  • Retrieve and export surveillance footage when authorized.
  • Provide video evidence to clients or law enforcement in accordance with company policy.
  • Monitor camera functionality and report equipment failures or connectivity issues to IT personnel.
  • Verify surveillance systems remain operational throughout assigned shifts.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to monitor multiple screens simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm while managing rapidly changing situations.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn multiple software applications.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive operational information.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in security operations, dispatch, surveillance monitoring, or emergency communications.
  • Experience reviewing incident reports and operational documentation.
  • Familiarity with CCTV systems, remote monitoring software, or access control platforms.
  • Experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.
  • Knowledge of reporting platforms and workforce management systems is beneficial.
