Job description

Responsibilities

The Security Operations Coordinator works in the security operations center, makes access badges, answers the security hotline, watches security cameras, does security video investigations, and other activities related to the security of the InnovAge facilities.

Position is based out of the Lowry Corporate Offices in Denver, CO. 

Essential Functions and Work Responsibilities

Functional Category: Physical Security Duties

Estimated Percent of time Spent – 100%

  • Use critical thinking and multi-tasking techniques to ensure a comprehensive security posture.
  • Provides physical access control badge administration and access management to employees across the company portfolio.
  • Monitors all alarms, CCTV, access control, phone lines, life safety and other monitoring systems in order to promptly respond to all reports and information in regards to theft, alarms, accidents, hazardous material releases, fires and other incidents that may occur.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner.
  • Conduct investigative video reviews and report findings.
  • Dispatch security, fire, EMS, or other response personnel as required.
  • Respond to and assess security alarms or emergency alarms, emergency situations, first responder; secure ingress and egress situations.

REQUIRED

Education

 

High School diploma or GED is required.

Work Experience and Qualifications 

  • Minimum two years’ experience in corporate global security operations centers, 911 dispatch or other similar experience required
  • Expertise using CCTV, visitor, and access management systems
  • Experience tracking and documenting incidents or events in a security or dispatch setting
  • Understanding and experience within security industry standards, technologies, and systems (access control, video surveillance, etc.)
  • Experience answering inbound phone calls and knowledge of multiline phone systems
  • Experience with standard office procedures including filing, record keeping and the use of standard office equipment such as personal computers, copiers and fax machines required
  • Superior customer service skills and orientation
  • Ability to maintain professionalism at all times under stressful situations
  • Strong organizational skills and collaborative style.
  • Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
  • Ability to handle crisis situations, calmly and efficiently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Power Point, Visio and Microsoft Outlook software.
