We are partnering with a global industry leader in scientific laboratory testing and reservoir analysis seeking a Laboratory Analyst I to join their growing Houston team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude, scientific curiosity, and hands-on laboratory experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced technical environment.

This role is ideal for recent graduates in Geology or related sciences, laboratory technicians, or individuals with experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, manufacturing, or scientific testing environments.

Position Overview

The Laboratory Analyst I will support laboratory testing operations involving petrophysical analysis, rock mechanics, flow studies, and scientific data collection. This position requires attention to detail, strong documentation skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a laboratory setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor laboratory testing equipment
• Record and analyze scientific and operating data
• Assist with flow studies, pressure testing, and reservoir simulation testing
• Maintain laboratory notebooks and testing documentation
• Utilize pumps, gauges, balances, transducers, and laboratory instruments
• Communicate testing results clearly with supervisors and team members
• Support sample management and technical reporting activities
• Follow laboratory safety procedures and PPE requirements
• Work effectively in a team-oriented laboratory environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Science, Chemistry, or related science preferred
• Strong mechanical and logical reasoning skills
• Comfortable working in a laboratory or industrial environment
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
