DESCRIPTION/POSITION SUMMARY
Location: Cincinnati, OH
EQM is seeking an entry level candidate with 0-2 years of environmental compliance and/or consulting experience. The successful candidate(s) should have an associate's or bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (e.g., chemical, civil, or environmental) or environmental science and will be trained to conduct engineering and compliance testing of EPA 40 CFR 60 and 40 CFR 75 test methods. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, technical writing skills, as well as some related experience, training, and/or coursework (such as environmental regulations, environmental chemistry, environmental release estimation, air emissions, spreadsheet, and database work). We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, and responsible individual with an eye for detail, a willingness to learn, and a desire to be part of our Emissions Measurement team. The position is full-time in the Cincinnati, OH. Some out-of-town travel is required.
RELEVANT SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Prior job history or academic experience with environmental fieldwork, lab and data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently within narrow timeframes, if needed.
  • Willingness to perform both office and field work, as needed.
  • Excellent attitude and ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Developed organizational, time management, and planning skills.
  • Ability to diagnose, maintain and repair sampling equipment. Ability to control tools, components and materials with precision and coordination. Hands-on dexterity in the mechanical field is preferred.
  • Clean driving record, DOT qualified.
