We are looking for talented Histotechnicians or Histotechnologists to be a part of their growing team on the Columbia campus. About the Position:

Under direct supervision, the histotech performs routine and complex histologic procedures in accordance with established procedures. Performs processing, embedding, microtomy, routine and special stains, immunohistochemistry, and frozen sectioning on human and animal tissue to produce microscopic slides submitted for pathologists’ review. Performs quality control on completed slides. Identifies problems that may affect diagnosis and results. Records observations from tests. Documents maintenance of instruments and equipment used in the lab. Complies with established laboratory policies for universal precautions and safety.

Candidate Profile:

  • B.S. in Biology, Medical Laboratory Science, or related field
  • Completion of accredited Histology program
  • HT or HTL (ASCP) required
  • 1+ years of experience as a Histotechnologist preferred

Shift, Salary, and Benefits:

  • 1st shift opportunity
  • Hourly Rate: up to $33/hr Depending on Experience
