Associate Electrical Manufacturing Engineer

Company:

The Boeing Company

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Production Engineering team is hiring an Associate Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to support the technical statement of work in Oklahoma City, OK.

This position will be to support various defense platforms in the Mobility, Surveillance, and Bombers division (MS&B).

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies.

  • Participates as a member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) in the integration of technical solutions.

  • Works with others to develop, identify and implement conceptual designs and maintenance of the program architecture for build.

  • Assists in implementing manufacturing plans.

  • Resolves technical problems and assists in the implementation of new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.

  • Assists in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies.

  • Interfaces with professional associations, suppliers, IPTs and internal customers to develop products, skills, knowledge and experience.

  • Reviews electrical design requirements and approves new releases and revisions to existing designs.

  • Reviews and implements non-conformance requirements into shop floor work orders and supplier specifications.

  • Translates design requirements Electronic Bill of Materials (EBOM) into Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) to create and maintain part demand within the program production system.

  • Potential to support as a liaison Manufacturing Engineer (wire shop and shipside environments).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

  • 2+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience

  • Experience working with Electrical Design requirements and manufacturing processes.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Entry level knowledge of REDARS, GOLDesp, Microsoft Excel (medium to advanced skills), IVT.

  • Ability to interact frequently with internal personnel and external customers.

  • Ability to represent the organization by providing solutions to moderately difficult technical issues associated with specific projects

  • Ability to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems, and develop solutions that are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives.
