Job description

Component Shop Technician

Inland Truck Parts & Service is seeking a full-time, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Monday - Friday, employee for our component shop in Tulsa, Oklahoma. An ideal candidate for this entry-level position is someone who has a strong ability to multitask and can shift attention between projects, as needed. No experience is necessary, and we provide all of the needed tools, but having mechanical aptitude is important. Pay: $20.00+/hour, depending on experience. 
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with mechanical components and shop equipment, and takes pride in producing quality work. Previous transmission or automotive experience is preferred, but we are willing to consider candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications: 

  • Mechanical aptitude and an interest in transmission or drivetrain components.
  • Previous automotive, transmission, diesel, heavy equipment, machining, or mechanical repair experience is preferred.
  • Ability to use common hand and power tools.
  • Experience with precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers is a plus.
  • Ability to read and follow technical instructions and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Dependable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to safely lift and handle transmission components and other shop materials.
  • Willingness to learn and develop additional technical skills.

Candidates must be able to pass a drug test, and a physical/ & strength exam. In addition, you must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain alert and attentive to job duties. You must be able to bend, stoop, twist, carry, push, pull, reach & lift overhead, and go up/down steps.
