Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented person for a title clerk who plays a vital administrative role within the RV dealership, ensuring all RV sales and trade-ins are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This position requires strong attention to detail, familiarity with title and registration processes.

Key Objectives 

  • Prepare and process vehicle title work for both Idaho and out-of-state customers.
  • Submit title and registration paperwork to the appropriate DMV or state agencies.
  • Follow up on outstanding lien perfections to ensure timely completion and compliance.
  • Reconcile title paperwork with sales and finance documentation for consistency.

Responsibilities 

  • Process customer and vendor checks with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Assist with basic accounting tasks, including accounts payable and journal entries
  • Track and maintain records of titles, lien releases, odometer disclosures, and power of attorney forms.
  • Maintain accurate filing systems and update dealership records as needed.
  • Perform daily bank deposits through the dealership management system (DMS)
  • Physically transport and deposit funds at the bank as needed

What you’ll bring

  • Ability to pass a background and drug test 
  • Demonstrate alignment with the Company’s vision, mission, and core values in all interactions 
  • Previous experience in title processing or an automotive dealership setting is preferred
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Valid driver’s license required for bank runs
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office; experience with Lightspeed Evo or DealerTrack is a plus

Expected Results

  • 100% of title work is submitted accurately and within state-mandated timeframes.
  • Lien perfections are tracked and completed with minimal delays.
  • Accounting transactions (checks, journal entries, deposits) are processed error-free.
  • Bank deposits are completed daily, with secure and timely handling of funds.
  • Customer and DMV inquiries are addressed promptly and professionally.
  • Paperwork discrepancies are minimized through detailed reconciliation and communication.
  • Title and accounting records are audit-ready and compliant with all regulatory requirements.
