Join a dedicated healthcare team in the heart of the Midwest region, providing critical care in a dynamic Emergency Department setting. This role offers the opportunity to deliver life-saving nursing care while supporting patients and their families through challenging times.
General Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers direct patient care by applying the nursing process with clinical expertise tailored to emergency nursing practice. Adherence to the ANA Code of Ethics is essential.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Adhere to established safety protocols including infection prevention, safe patient handling, and critical lab notifications to ensure a secure care environment.
  • Maintain and care for central lines and implement measures to prevent surgical site infections according to policy.
  • Administer medications, perform nursing interventions, and provide patient and family education to promote quality outcomes.
  • Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments to monitor status, enhance safety, and communicate findings effectively to the healthcare team.
  • Document all patient care activities and quality monitoring data to support clinical decisions and compliance with quality standards.
  • Collaborate and communicate with physicians and team members to improve patient outcomes, delegating tasks appropriately while fostering teamwork and accountability.

Education
Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.
Experience

Requirements
  • Current RN license valid in the state or Compact Licensure.

Mental and Physical Requirements
This role requires considerable mental focus and physical activity including lifting up to 35 lbs., standing, walking, and various movements such as pushing, pulling, and reaching.
Working Conditions
