Description: Responsibilities:

  1. Job responsibilities include those listed in the competency document but are not limited to assessing the needs of the patients as assigned based on data collected through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data while also providing appropriate age specific nursing interventions which are consistent with the plan of care and standards of practice.
  2. Fosters an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for patients, families, and visitors.
  3. Utilizes appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patients and staff.
  4. Utilizes standard work in relation to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators.
  5. Contributes to the overall performance of the department through precepting and mentoring novice employees.
  6. Contributes to the department growth and performance through hospital-system initiatives cultivating nursing involved Evidence Based Practices.
  7. Demonstrates continued professional growth through setting goals and participating in educational offerings.
  8. Will float to assist in other like units as needed.
  9. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • RN License for South Carolina or other compact state
  • Graduate RN's are welcome to apply.
  • BLS Certification
