Key Responsibilities
  • Create and sustain an environment that supports compassionate care through authentic presence with patients and families.
  • Collect and document data for assigned patients according to prescribed methods.
  • Interpret assessment data to identify physiological and/or psychosocial risk factors, recording and reporting variances from normal parameters.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to develop individualized plans of care based on patient needs and responses.
  • Implement nursing and physician orders safely and effectively.
  • Maintain knowledge of advanced nursing theory, techniques, medical terminology, instruments, medications, and their effects.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
  • Knowledge of Cerner EMR.
Required Licenses & Certifications
  • Valid and unrestricted State of California Registered Nurse License (RN).
  • Advanced NRP certification.
  • AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification.
  • AWHONN Maternal Fetal Triage Index (MFTI) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Education
  • Graduation from an accredited registered nursing program with a bachelor’s or associate degree preferred.
Physical Setting
