Job description

Find your calling at Mercy!The Charge Nurse manages the operations of the department. They are the leader who provides support, mentorship, and guidance to those who provide direct patient care. The Charge Nurse will coordinate the delivery of patient care by determining staffing needs and making patient assignments by choosing the right assignment for the right person. The Charge Nurse will ensure that all patients receive timely, safe, effective and high quality care. They coordinate the patients plan of care with the bedside nurse. The Charge Nurse will set the expectations regarding professional conduct and serves as a resource for the patient care unit. The Charge Nurse will hold direct and indirect care providers accountable for their professional responsibilities and adherence to regulatory guidelines. The Charge Nurse performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the Mission, Values and Mercy Service Standards.Position Details:

10,000 Sign On Bonus for full-time RNs

with at least 1 year of experience

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN)

  • Licensure: Current RN license in the hiring state or compact state required

  • Certifications:

    • BLS (AHA) required within 30 days of hire

    • Additional certifications may be required based on unit, including: ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, ENPC, OCN, CPHON, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM, or other unit-specific credentials
