Professional Nursing Content Tutor
Charleston Southern University
Description
Charleston Southern University invites applications for a part-time professional nursing content tutor in the College of Nursing to provide academic and clinical skills support for students.
Job Duties
Provide academic support to nursing students through individual or group tutoring sessions.
Collaborate with nursing faculty to identify academically at-risk students.
Identify and implement strategies to improve student performance in the classroom, on exams, and in the clinical setting.
Assist learners with mastering didactic and clinical nursing content in fundamentals, pharmacology, maternity, women's health, psychiatric/mental health, pediatrics, and adult health courses.
Guide students in mastering clinical skills in the simulation and lab setting.
Assist students with developing effective test preparation, time management, and prioritization skills.
Maintain documentation of student attendance at individual or group tutoring sessions and student progress toward academic and clinical goals.
Qualifications
A Master's degree in nursing is required. Must hold a current, unencumbered Registered Nurse License in South Carolina. Prior teaching experience in an ADN or BSN program preferred. 2+ years of recent clinical experience as a registered nurse. Current certification in Basic Life Support.
