Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) or LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) to join our skilled nursing facility team. The RN or LPN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, administering medications, and coordinating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our residents. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, a strong understanding of nursing practices, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents.
Work Environment: This position operates in a clinical healthcare environment.
Responsibilities: - Patient Care: Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatment planning, and administering medications. Monitor and document patient progress and respond to changes in condition.
- Coordination of Care: Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for residents.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with residents, families, and healthcare team members to address concerns and provide updates on patient status.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes, in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards. • Training and Supervision: Mentor and guide nursing staff, ensuring adherence to care protocols and facility procedures.
- Compliance: Ensure all nursing practices comply with state and federal regulations, including infection control, safety protocols, and resident rights.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly and appropriately to medical emergencies, utilizing critical thinking and clinical judgment to stabilize and manage acute situations.
- Participation: Works with other nurses in taking weekend, night, and holiday calls on a rotating basis.
Qualifications: - Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license or valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Nebraska or Multi-state.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
Skills: - Strong clinical assessment and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and basic computer applications. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
