The ideal candidate will have strong management experience, preferably overseeing multiple locations or units, along with a background in risk management, OSHA compliance, and operational auditing. Experience conducting audits and ensuring workplace safety standards is highly preferred.

Job Summary 

The Member Experience Coach plays a pivotal role in upholding the consistency and quality of NFP and Planet Fitness brand standards, ensuring that every club delivers an exceptional "+1 member experience." This position is responsible for conducting comprehensive club assessments related to operational standards, safety, and compliance.  The Member Experience Coach will partner with the Operations Field Teams to identify areas of opportunity and develop cohesive action plans. 

Essential Job Functions 

  • Conduct regular audits/assessments to ensure consistency with NFP procedures, standards, compliance, and member experience. 

  • Monitor and enforce adherence to safety regulations, ensuring a safe environment for both members and team members. 

  • Collaborate with club leaders to reinforce brand standards and ensure consistency across all club locations with a focus being on creating great member experiences. 

  • Engage with leadership to address areas of opportunity, offering guidance and support for improvement. 

  • Analyze and evaluate operational risk levels, providing insights to mitigate risks. 

  • Partner with the Learning and Development Department to create and implement effective training materials that support operational excellence. 

  • Facilitate regularly scheduled CPR certification courses. 

  • Provide detailed follow-up with best practice related to areas of opportunities.  

  • Embody and promote the core values of National Fitness Partners (NFP) in all interactions, fostering a culture of excellence. 

Job Requirements 

  • Prior to success in maintaining standards and operational compliance. 

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in risk management and customer service demands.  

  • Ability to travel 80% of the work week, with occasional overnight travel as needed. 

  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with partnering teams. 

  • Ability to provide ongoing feedback in a positive and constructive manner. 

  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask and prioritize a travel schedule. 

  • Primary region covers Delaware, Pennsylvania and Maryland, but availability to travel within IN, OH, MD, DE, VA, WV, NC, SC, CT, MA, TN, NJ. 

  • Current driver’s license with clean driving record. 

Physical Demands 

  • Occasional lifting of supplies over 25lbs. 

  • Onsite assessments require a degree of mobility, including climbing ladders. 

  • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling. 

  • Occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, and crouching. 

  • Continual reaching with hands/fingers/arms during shift.
