Job description
Pay: $235/per day
Schedule: 12-hour rotating shift (days and nights). You will work 5 days on day shift, 5 days on night shift and 5 days off. This includes weekends, holidays, and overtime may be available dependent on business need. (Shifts are 4am-4pm and 4pm-4am or 5am-5pm and 5pm-5am). Subject to change.
What You'll Do
- Build tow and handle rigging during operations
- Prepare barges for customer delivery (securing lines/covers, inspections)
- Support maintenance, cleaning, and barge prep crews
- Perform general housekeeping: washing, scraping, painting, sweeping
- Follow all safety rules and report hazards or incidents
- Help complete vessel and safety documentation
- Work as part of a small crew to keep fleet operations moving safely
- Marine or deckhand experience preferred (not required). Entry level welcome!
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work flexible schedules including overnights, weekends, OT if available
- Comfort working outdoors yearround near water and heavy equipment
- Able to lift heavy materials and work on uneven surfaces
- Safetyfocused and teamoriented
- Prolonged periods of kneeling, bending and climbing stairs/ladders
- Ability to work near or on large bodies of water, at various heights and in confined spaces
- Reading and writing skills at a basic functional level to perform essential job functions
- Ability to pass DOT drug screening
- Must obtain and maintain a TWIC card
