Job description

Mayvin is seeking a motivated Electrical or Systems Engineer with strong engineering fundamentals and experience working with networked systems to support a Technical Security Program. This role is ideal for candidates with solid technical aptitude who are interested in developing skills in monitoring technologies, networked sensor systems, and technical security solutions. The position offers hands-on experience with deployed systems and opportunities for growth into more advanced engineering responsibilities.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Must have an active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of technical security and monitoring systems
  • Assist with network setup and troubleshooting, including basic routing, switching, and connectivity tasks
  • Perform system-level integration of hardware with software platforms, databases, and monitoring dashboards
  • Diagnose and resolve system issues involving hardware, software, or network components
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system architectures, interface control documents, and test plans
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts and learn new technologies related to technical security and networked systems
  • Provide operational and engineering support to ongoing Technical Security missions, including field deployments, testing, and system validation
  • Conduct research, selection, modification, design, and development of Technical Security equipment and systems

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field, preferably from an ABET-accredited program
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Basic understanding of computer networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, and network security)
  • Familiarity with basic scripting or programming (e.g., Python)
  • Ability to follow technical procedures and troubleshoot problems methodically
  • Willingness to support field work, shift schedules, and travel as required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure
  • Experience with technical instrumentation, diagnostic tools, or system analysis (academic or professional)
  • Familiarity with Linux or basic command-line tools
