Description
In this role, you will develop the embedded systems for cellular RF transceivers and radio systems. You will work on the design, implementation as well as verification of our real-time control firmware with all aspects of embedded software development. This position requires a close collaboration with our system engineers, hardware developers, and system verification/integration engineers.","responsibilities":"Specify, design, and implement the RF firmware architecture of an innovative mobile wireless communications system.
Design, develop and optimize the RF processing algorithms pertaining to transceiver, RF front end in a cellular system.
Implement RF device drivers and control software for RF transceivers and front-end components with precise timing requirements.
Work with RF silicon designers to define RF transceiver architecture and support software computing requirements.
Work with systems and IC designers to optimize power optimization for all RF circuitry in the cellular system.
Work with multi-functional teams to handle dependencies while driving the key Radio features.
Develop and maintain shell scripts and Python infrastructure and contribute to existing libraries for cellular verification.
Preferred Qualifications
Debugging using RTL simulation and SystemC environments as well as target HW.
Proficiency in debugging embedded software systems and familiarity with JTAG and ETM Trace tools.
Working experience with compilers and build(Make/CMake) files.
Experience in improving and maintaining the development and debug environments, tools, and methodologies on Linux/MacOS.
Knowledge in low-level programming expertise using C++, C and assembler, embedded systems proficiency, 32-bit micro-controllers ISR, real-time processing, and limited and shared resources.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum requirement of a bachelors degree.
Understanding in computer architecture and HW/SW co-verification.
Skilled in debugging embedded software systems and familiarity with JTAG and ETM Trace tools.
Skilled in Python and shell scripting.
Good problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $122,700 and $214,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
