Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking aSystems Engineer - Level 2 or 3locatedinBoulder, CO.

What you'll get to do?

As a Systems Engineer on this team, you will contribute to the development, integration, and verification of RF-based ground systems supporting a variety of space missions. You will participate in system definition, requirementsdevelopment, architecture decomposition, and verification activities throughout the system lifecycle, from early concept development through integration and test.

In this role,you will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to translate mission and customer needs into system requirements and technical solutions. You will help define systemarchitectureand interfaces across hardware, software, and infrastructure components, with particular focuson RF systems including antennas, RF front-end equipment, and groundcommunications infrastructure.

*Please be aware that this position is contingent upon capturing program award(s) and obtaining and maintaining associated business and/or customer funding. Furthermore, this position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company. Basic Qualifications for a Level 2:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related experience; 3 years with a Master's; 1 year with a PhD

  • Familiarity with RF communications systems, ground systems, or antenna-based architectures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with satellite communications, ground segment systems, or RF communications infrastructure.

  • Experience with Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE), SysML and Cameo

  • Familiarity with space vehicle ground segment design

  • Proven ability to iterate quickly on design and development processes, incorporating feedback and making improvements

  • Experience with Agile development

  • Effectively communicate and present to project and program management, other technical managers and customers

  • Experience integrating MBSE models with requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS/DNG) to support end-to-endtraceability and verification planning.

  • Experience withtechnical writing and team building skills

Primary Level Salary Range: $91,800.00 - $137,600.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
