Job description

POSITION: RF ENGINEER
LOCATION: Chatsworth, CA
SHIFT: Day (7:00 am - 5:30 pm; Monday thru Thursday)
BASIC FUNCTIONS:
The RF Antenna Engineer will work with other Electrical Design Engineers, Mechanical Design Engineers, Drafters in developing and supporting aviation antennas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Basic simulation of antennas in frequencies ranging from VHF to Ku-band in CST or HFSS
  • Testing and verifying different Antennas in Anechoic chambers
  • Support production with production issues like ATP failures and troubleshooting
  • Additional responsibilities as they become necessary.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Physics
  • 1-3 years of work experience in RF industry
  • Work experience in design and testing Antennas, OR Passive RF components and subsystems like combiner, splitter, isolator, attenuator...
  • Knowledge of basic Antenna design theory, behavior and fundamentals
  • Basic experience with EM simulation tools such as ANSYS HFSS, OR CST
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of RF/Microwave passive components
  • Basic working knowledge of RF/Microwave laboratory test equipment for testing of circuit and subsystems

( i.e Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Noise Figure Meters etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Knowledge of MS Office such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple, concurrent tasks and meet strict deadlines.
  • The ability to work independently. Able to work with different levels of staff and management.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Punctual and reliable person.
