Career Gear Clothing Associate

Division: Support Services Department: CVL Experience: Entry-level

Job Code: Supervisor/Reports To: Kay Webb

Requested Start Date: 8/24/26

Career Gear is a student run, student inspired store where UPIKE students can find professional clothing for campus presentations, grad school/job interviews, or that "first look" at a new job! The Career Gear Associate will be responsible for maintaining the Career Gear shop. This will include assisting students in finding the best look and fit, receiving and sorting donations, and maintaining the space as a professional store.

Responsibilities and Career Competencies:

  1. Help students select outfits that match their vibe and goals - C, P, CT, L
  2. Organize and sort donated clothes - CT, C
  3. Supervise volunteers - L, C, TW, P, CSD
  4. Track inventory and prepare needs list for unavailable items - T, C
  5. Make sure the store stays clean, organized, and professional - P, CT, CTR, L

Physical Demands: Keyboarding, Reaching/Handling, Stooping/Kneeling, Lifting up to 20 lbs., Carrying up to 15 lbs.

Location: Building: Wickham; Room: old post office by student lounge (no room number); ARM 201 for Interviews
