Retirement Plan Associate (Entry Level)Alliance Pension Consultants, LLC

Hybrid | Full-Time

What You Will Be Doing:

The Retirement Plan Associate is responsible for processing client-provided files, including census updates, employee contributions and loan payments.  Additional duties include distribution processing, loan initiation, statement production, data entry and preparation, assembly of reports and administrator support.  This entrylevel role is ideal for someone looking to start a career in the retirement plan industry.

In this role, you will collaborate with internal teams on the day-to-day maintenance of retirement plans. You’ll learn retirement plan procedures, payroll processing and withdrawal processing.

Key Responsibilities:Payroll Processing
  • Processing client-provided data files.
  • Process and allocate deposits pursuant to participant elections.
  • Verify that payroll file matches deposit amounts received.
  • Monitor trust accounts for timely receipt of deposits.
Withdrawal/Loan Requests
  • Confirm withdrawal type requested is available to the participant.
  • Review received paperwork for completeness.
  • Verify proper state and federal withholding is applied.
  • Request payment timely.
  • Prepare and review loan packages.
Ongoing Administrator Support
  • Assist with quarterly participant statement production.
  • Reconcile employee census data.
  • Reconcile trust cash accounts.
  • Gather documentation for plan audits.
Our Ideal Candidate Has:Education
  • Bachelor’s degree is required. (Business, Finance, Economics, Math, or related fields are a plus.)

Additional Information
  • Salary Range: $23.50 per hour
    Final compensation depends on experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
  • Location: Primarily remote with occasional onsite requirements at office locations including Chicago, Deerfield and Downers Grove, IL.
  • Training: Full training provided with opportunities for growth into Plan Administration roles.
