Position Overview:The chosen candidate will join our cross-functional engineering team, working withmechanical,electricaland software disciplines tosupport thedevelopment ofnew products and the continuous improvement of our existing product line. This is an in-office position at our SE Calgary facility with eligibility to work from home one day per week, dependent on specific project deadlines and ad-hoc requirements


ResponsibilitiesInclude:

  • Focus on continuous improvement of existing robotic fleet
  • Planning and execution of testing and validation efforts on existing robotic fleet
  • Generateandmaintaintechnical documentation(BOMs,assembly drawings, etc.)
  • Provideguidance to technicians during theequipmentassembly
  • Provide technicalleadership to field operations asrequired
  • Conduct root cause analysis of in-field issues and drive corrective actions
  • Strategically managethe rollout ofchangesto the existing fleet(Service bulletins, ECOs, etc.)
  • Coordinate change rollout with cross functional team including engineers,maintainersandoperators
  • Performmechanical design and drafting tasks
  • Assistinproductprocurementthrough technical support
  • Support production runs and R&D builds asrequired


Required Qualifications:

  • BSc. inMechanicalEngineeringor related field
  • Proficiencyin SolidWorks, or related CAD software
  • Solid understandingofmechanical drafting principles,GD&T, DFM & DFA
  • Experiencein changemanagement, BOM management andcomponentsourcing
  • Ability todemonstratea methodical and organized approach to continuous improvement
  • Practical troubleshooting and root cause analysis experience
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills


BeneficialSkills(Nice to Haves):

  • Project management experience
  • Hands-on experience with basic fabrication, mechanical assembly, wire harness assembly
  • Experienceworking withing anERP system, such as Odoo
  • Experiencein design or manufacturing of electrical systems
  • Experience with Altium Designer
  • Keen interest in drones, robotics, and unmanned systems
