The Pharmacy Manager - Outpatient Informatics provides strategic and operational leadership for enterprise outpatient Pharmacy Informatics services, supporting Community Pharmacy, Specialty Pharmacy, Home Delivery Pharmacy, Outpatient Infusion, Home Infusion, and outpatient prescribing workflows across Cleveland Clinic. This role oversees Epic Care Ambulatory, Epic Willow Ambulatory, Epic Beacon, and related technology platforms, ensuring reliable, efficient, and standardized medication-use processes across multiple outpatient service lines. Responsibilities include leading workflow optimization, enhancement requests, project prioritization and execution, and partnering with Pharmacy Operations, IT, and clinical leaders to improve system performance and the end-user experience. The Pharmacy Manager also drives governance, change management, standardization efforts, and issue resolution to support innovative, high-quality outpatient pharmacy services across the enterprise.

This is a remote role. A caregiver in this position will work Monday through Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm. Caregivers participate in an on-call rotation every four weeks, beginning Monday at 8:30am through the following Monday, with approximately two weekends of coverage per year. There are no holiday coverage requirements. While the position is primarily remote, occasional onsite attendance may be required for team meetings, go-live events, and other enterprise initiatives a few times each year.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Identifyand meet patientneedsutilizingcontinuous process improvement techniques.
  • Identifyand propose practical solutions to technical, professional,personnelor procedural problems affecting daily workflow.
  • Ensure the department is adequately staffed withproperly trainedpersonnel.
  • Establish work assignments and schedules.
  • Participate in the development of operational and clinical program activities.
  • Promote and develop the clinical activities of pharmacy caregivers through counseling,trainingand teaching.
  • Train and instruct caregivers as to their duties.
  • Coordinate orientation and training of new caregivers in job functions and responsibilities.
  • Monitorfinancialsand other pertinent statistics.
  • Assistwith evaluations of financial performance.
  • Maintain records of narcotics, poisons, and habit-forming drugs receivedin accordance withstate and federal laws.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible within90 daysof hire
  • Completion of a health-system Pharmacy Administration or Leadership (HSPAL) PGY2 Residency OR four years of relevant pharmacy experience,including one year of leadership experience

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • PharmacyDegree with current state licensure
  • MS, MBS, PharmD and/or residency

Physical Requirements:

  • Physical demands include periods of standing and walking.
  • Dexterity sufficient to perform computer functions and communication via telephone.
  • May be required to lift and transport up to ten pounds.
  • Requires normal or corrected vision.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum Annual Salary: $118,960.00

Maximum Annual Salary: $190,360.00

A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education.
