Job description

Summary
You will serve as a Technician in the Rapid Mission Integration & Interoperability Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13 and GS-14. The salary range shown represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13, Step 10; currently $138,370.

  • You will serve as a technician supporting the Tactical Communication Branch (MXLN) of the Expeditionary C3 and Cyber Division (MXL).
  • You will apply knowledge of design, systems integration and testing, and maintain schedules and milestones.
  • You will communicate at all levels of management and coworkers at NSWC Crane as well as with external customers and contractor partners.
  • You will support scientific and engineering activities through the application of various skills and techniques in the electrical, mechanical, physical science, biology, or mathematics fields.
  • You will perform work of a specialized nature, demonstrating high level technical depth, requiring extended technical experience and development.
  • You will serve as a lead resource in the specialist area and will be expected to independently carry out work assignments which require planning, organization, and execution of projects.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11/12 grade level or NT-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector testing and evaluating critical electromagnetic warfare systems against documented system requirements, developing and maintaining work processes in accordance with command safety and security policies, and training the technical workforce on system operation and troubleshooting practices.
