Job Summary/Company: 
Sparks Group has teamed with several prominent and successful companies in the Metro DC area to identify talented and motivated recent college graduates for accounting and finance roles. The companies offer fantastic working environments and the opportunity to work alongside industry-leaders. Many positions are metro-accessible and close to great dining and entertainment!
Responsibilities: 
  • Perform entry-level accounting or financial analysis functions that may include processing accounts receivable or processing accounts payable, or preparing financial statements
  • Support month-end close process
  • Assist with general ledger reconciliation
  • Develop forecast models
  • Consolidate and analyze budgets & income statement forecasts
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Background profile: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or Business Administration or other relevant fields is a must
  • 0-3 years of accounting/finance-related internship or professional experience
  • High-level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
