QA Software Analyst

Job Summary

The QA Software Analyst performs quality assurance activities based upon assignment. Responsibilities include product testing and product delivery. Evaluates progress and results of product development and/or product support efforts to ensure product quality, process compliance, and complete design objectives. Communicates with application developers and technical specialists on product issues.

Key Duties

  • Validate projects to ensure compliance with corporate quality standards, product specifications, and documentation requirements.
  • Accomplish timely validation of quality assurance activities to meet schedules and quality requirements.
  • Establish and maintain effective working team relationships and rapport with all departments.
  • Produce high quality deliverables in a timely manner while minimizing costs.
  • Write test plans that present test goals, test requirements, and estimated schedule.
  • Identify, analyze, and thoroughly document all reported defects including steps to reproduce reported software defect and offer recommendations to improve product quality.
  • Collaborate with team members to share product knowledge or to request testing assistance.
  • Escalate concerns and areas for improvement to the Supervisor/Lead, following up proactively when necessary.
  • Make effective use of time.
  • Install and maintain test environments that mimics production systems.
  • Actively participate in sprint planning and all scrum ceremonies

Education/Training

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, similar technical field of study or equivalent applicable technical experience in software.
  • 1+ years’ experience with RedSail applications preferred
  • 1+ years’ agile process (scrum) experience
  • 1+ years’ technical experience in software
  • 1+ years’ applicable domain experience (pharmacy, accounting, etc.)
  • 1+ years’ Cloud platform experience
  • Certification(s) applicable to position

Required Work Experience/Skills

  • Technical knowledge in software development methodologies (particularly agile), design and implementation with a specialized knowledge of RedSail applications or applicable technologies.
  • Analytical and design skills at multiple product levels.
  • Skills in research and analysis, planning, and implementation.
  • Understanding of entire development process including specifications, documentation, quality assurance and release management.
  • Understanding of business issues and how they impact overall plans.
  • Time management, decision making, organization, presentation, and problem resolution skills.
  • Communication, human relations, and interpersonal skills.

Physical Demands, Working Conditions, and General Employment Guidelines

  • Position is performed in a general office environment, home office, or approved remote workspace where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting to 25 lbs.

  • $60,000-$70,000
