Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to identify client needs and establish therapeutic goals.
  • Develop tailored treatment plans based on evidence-based methodologies, incorporating client feedback and progress.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions with a focus on building rapport and promoting coping strategies.
  • Document treatment progress and maintain accurate clinical notes, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
  • Possession of a current Associate registration (AMFT, ASW, or APCC) with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
  • Ability to maintain a manageable caseload, providing consistent therapy and follow-up to clients.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to professional ethics and client-centered care.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of one year of relevant clinical experience, preferably in outpatient settings.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and digital tools for delivering therapy is advantageous.
  • Experience with evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as CBT, DBT, or mindfulness practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between USD 65,000 and 85,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive compensation, Better Selves Therapy offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
