Job description

Entry Level Production Technician: $21.61 Hour

Work Environment:

  • Operator will be working in a manufacturing facility, which can be noisy with cold and high-temperature environments. Strict adherence to safety protocols and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, steel-toed boots, earplugs and hard hats are mandatory.
  • Shifts are 9 days on and 5 days off. Must be willing to work either day or night shifts.

GENERAL FUNCTION

§ Responsible for stacking shapes product and packaging units of produce

§ Provides support to Shapes Operator

§ Operating #2 punched soffit machine

§ Cross trains as Depiler Operator

§ Other utility duties as required

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

§ Relieves other positions on the shapes machine and on the depiler

§ Performs other duties as necessary such as maintenance and clean-up

§ Responsible for maintaining excellent housekeeping in area

§ Ability to work 8- or 12-hour shifts

§ Ability to work overtime, when required

§ Ability to work assigned work rotation

§ Flexibility to adjust schedule in support of Production changes

§ Ability to work under pressure

§ Ability to meet production levels

§ Responsible for observing all plant standard operating procedures and safety policies

§ Responsible for teamwork communication with production operators and supervisors

§ Must wear appropriate PPE at all times

§ Participate in training programs to enhance environmental and safety performance

§ Perform assigned tasks as specified in the environmental procedures and work instructions

§ Understand the significant environmental impacts of my job activities and the consequences of departing from specified work instructions

§ Know where EHS documents are located

§ Must have initiative and exhibit good judgment

§ Must perform with safe work practices at all times

§ Must consult and problem-solve area with coworkers

§ Familiarity with computers
