What You'll Do as a Licensed Veterinary Technician
Surgical & Anesthesia Expertise
- Prepare patients for surgery using aseptic and sterile techniques
- Induce, monitor, and recover patients under anesthesia with a high level of accuracy and vigilance
- Monitor vital parameters and adjust anesthetic protocols as directed
- Ensure safe, efficient surgical flow and maintain a sterile surgical suite
Clinical & Technical Skills
- Perform phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, radiology, and in-house diagnostics
- Administer medications via oral, subcutaneous, and intravenous routes
- Accurately document treatments, anesthesia logs, and patient records
Patient Care & Advocacy
- Provide attentive monitoring of pre-op and post-op patients
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition quickly and effectively
- Deliver compassionate, low-stress handling and care
Collaboration & Communication
- Partner closely with veterinarians and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding post-operative care and discharge instructions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment and surgical environment
What We're Looking For:
- Active Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in the state of Georgia
- Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program
- Successful completion of the VTNE
- 2+ years of hands-on clinical experience, with a strong emphasis on surgery and anesthesia
- Advanced proficiency in anesthesia monitoring and surgical support
- Confidence working independently in a high-volume surgical setting
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety and gold-standard care
- Ability to remain calm, focused, and efficient under pressure
- Passion for continuous learning and clinical excellence
