Summary:

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for supporting the inspection and quality assurance of advanced handheld X-ray devices used across safety & security, mining and minerals, and pharmaceutical industries. This role focuses on incoming inspection, precision measurements, and ensuring products meet strict quality and regulatory standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong inspection experience, attention to detail, and familiarity with precision measuring instruments and technical drawings.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform incoming inspection of raw materials and components supporting multiple product lines.
  • Use precision hand measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, and measuring microscopes.
  • Inspect small components using microscopes, tweezers, and gloves while making accurate quality judgments.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, geometric tolerances, tolerance stack-ups, and run-out measurements.
  • Support quality assurance activities to ensure products meet performance and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate inspection documentation and communicate inspection findings effectively.
  • Work with automated and semi-automated inspection equipment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the quality control process.
  • Balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced and evolving production environment.

Required Skills:

  • High school diploma required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in incoming inspection or quality inspection roles.
