Job description

TSC is seeking entry level Electrical Engineers in Silver Spring, MD to support advanced concepts model and simulation development and execution for surface Navy radar and combat systems. The M&S effort is used for design, development, analytical evaluations of system performance, and systems engineering for sophisticated radar, communications and weapons systems.
TSC has assembled a well-knit team of junior and senior system and software engineers that perform critical M&S development, execution, and analysis for US Navy and Missile Defense Agency customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Model/component integration into large scale simulation; GUI, analysis tools, and various kinds of automation (build, test, etc.) development and maintenance.
  • Duties include design/architecture contribution, capability implementation, testing, and bug/issue resolution.
  • Significant interaction with other TSC radar system and modeling & simulation engineers as part of the job.
  • Expected travel (up to 5%) will be to Navy facilities around the Washington, DC area. Farther travel is irregular.
  • Assigned tasking will be at both individual and team levels.
  • Porting code between Windows/Linux.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelors or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or comparable technical degree well-grounded in Computer Programming.
  • Minimum of a 3.3 GPA.
  • Skill in C/C++ or Java.
  • Interest in Navy's AEGIS Combat System and Defense technology.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

In compliance with applicable pay transparency laws, the expected salary range for this position is $83,000 - $108,000 per year, depending on experience and location. This role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus and may include equity or incentive compensation as part of the total rewards package.
