Job Description

The Quality Control Technician supports accurate and reliable testing of raw materials and production samples to ensure consistent product quality and compliance with established standards. This role involves performing laboratory analyses, maintaining quality records, supporting ISO 9001 quality system requirements, and collaborating closely with production teams to drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with obtaining laboratory supplies and calibrating quality assurance equipment to ensure accurate and reliable testing results.
  • Analyze production and raw material samples for physical and chemical properties using established testing methods and laboratory procedures.
  • Investigate quality and production issues, including customer complaints, as directed by supervision, and contribute to identifying root causes and corrective actions.
  • Prepare, label, and package samples for internal departments and external customers in an accurate, timely, and organized manner.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and timely quality and production records using computerized systems and data entry tools.
  • Support compliance with ISO 9001 quality system requirements and assist with documentation, internal audits, and related quality activities.
  • Ensure adherence to company procedures, safety standards, and applicable government regulations in all laboratory and production activities.
  • Recommend improvements to processes, equipment usage, and working conditions to enhance safety, product quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support ad hoc quality-related projects as assigned by leadership.
  • Collaborate with production teams to support consistent product quality, process optimization, and effective communication of quality findings.
  • Use measuring tools and basic mechanical troubleshooting skills to support testing, equipment checks, and problem-solving in the lab and production areas.

Essential Skills

  • Experience or exposure to quality control, quality assurance, or a related quality-focused role.

Pay and Benefits
