Quality Assurance Tech- Bolingbrook, IL

  • Location: On-Site, Bolingbrook, IL
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM
  • Pay rate: $17/hour

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will help ensure that products made meet food safety and quality standards. You will inspect products, monitor production processes, complete testing, and maintain accurate records. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Duties:

  • Inspect and test finished products to ensure they meet established food safety, quality, packaging, fill weight, and fill level requirements before being released.

  • Monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs) throughout production and verify that food safety procedures and GMPs are being followed correctly.

  • Perform quality and food safety inspections, including pre-operational inspections, environmental swabbing, product sampling, and truck inspections.

  • Accurately document and communicate results, including test results, inspections, deviations, and quality concerns, and escalate issues to the appropriate team or manager.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in food manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Food Safety, or a similar production environment is strongly preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow food safety procedures, identify quality issues, perform accurate testing, and maintain detailed records.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Warehouse & Logistics, and R&D.

  • Basic computer and documentation skills required; must be able to speak, read, and write English. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. Must also be comfortable working 12-hour shifts and in a cold-room environment.
