As a QA Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and compliance as we scale. You'll be a hands-on contributor who works across engineering, operations, suppliers, and customers to prevent defects, solve problems, and continuously elevate product quality.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for non-conformances, customer complaints, and field failures.
  • Manage the CAPA and NCR process, including investigation, documentation, and follow-up.
  • Perform incoming and in-process inspections, including first article inspections (FAI).
  • Conduct failure analysis and provide recommendations for design improvements.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and customers to resolve quality issues and improve supplier performance.
  • Conduct data analysis of problem logs and report on trends & needed improvements to multiple levels of management.
  • Develop and maintain quality metrics and reports to track performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input on quality requirements and risks.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as ISO 9001, AS9100, and ITAR.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance quality, reduce cost, and improve efficiency.
Education and Experience
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Two plus (2+) years of experience with Quality Assurance in the Engineering industry.
  • Strong knowledge of CAPA, NCR, ruggedized devices, advanced electronics, SMT, FAI, failure analysis, and customer quality.
  • Experience with quality management systems, such as ISO 9001 and AS9100.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Proficiency in interpreting mechanical drawings
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and drive for continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; capable of building strong internal and external relationships.
  • Highly competitive and self-motivated with the ability to "make it happen".
  • Time management, decision-making, and organizational skills capable of handling a demanding workload yet meeting positional and company objectives under pressure.
