Job description

hatch I.T. is partnering with Via to find a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer. See details below:

About the Role:

VIA is looking for a strategic Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to define and own their quality standards. This is not a traditional 'downstream' QA role, you will be responsible for building the systems that allow thei engineers to integrate testing into their day-to-day workflow. You will act as a force multiplier by leveraging AI-driven automation to replace manual processes and ensure their products meet rigorous security requirements.

About the Company:

At VIA, their mission is to make communities cleaner, safer, and more equitable. VIA believes that by working across organizational boundaries, they can achieve greater collective good than they can individually. VIA overcomes digital barriers to collective action by providing the world's most secure and simple data and identity protection solutions.

VIA is trusted by the U.S. Department of Defense and Fortune 100 companies around the globe to solve their toughest data and identity protection challenges. Using their Web3, quantum-resistant, passwordless technologies (19 issued patents), VIA protects data against theft, manipulation, and misuse.

Responsibilities:
  • Define the quality gates and testing methodologies used across the entire engineering organization
  • Partner with engineering teams to integrate developer-level testing and ensure testing is caught early in the development cycle, moving away from siloed, downstream testing toward a model of shared ownership
  • Own testing infrastructure through the selection, implementation, and maintenance of the testing tools and systems that allow for scalable, unbreakable software
  • Strategically identify and implement AI tools and agents to eliminate manual bottlenecks and extensively automate repetitive testing tasks, maximizing efficiency and coverage
  • Drive QA excellence by partnering with technical leadership and Client Delivery Leads to ensure testing is properly prioritized and accounted for during project planning and resource allocation
Requirements:
  • Proven software quality assurance experience in a high-growth technical landscape
  • The ability to "talk the talk" with senior engineers to build technical authority and maintain credible feedback loops
  • A proactive approach to using AI agents and automation to optimize the QA lifecycle and increase productivity
  • Familiarity with high-security standards (CJIS, CMMC, or SOC 2) to ensure testing aligns with VIA's compliance goals
  • The ability to be a "jack of all trades" who can balance rigorous standards with the agility of a 100-person company
$150,000 - $180,000 a year
