Day to day DUTIES
As a Full Time Quality Technician at Barrett Petfood, you will be at the forefront of our commitment to Safety and Quality Control. This role entails conducting comprehensive checks throughout the entire production process, from the inspection of raw ingredients and materials to the final product. You'll actively monitor production methods and practices, ensuring that every step aligns with our rigorous safety protocols and quality standards. Your keen eye for detail and problem-solving abilities will be vital in maintaining our high-performance culture, while also ensuring that our products meet the expectations of our customer-centric mission.
  • Ensures and verifies that all plant departments and employees are adhering to the quality standards and guidelines of the company.
  • Takes samples, tests, records, and reports on basic physical, chemical, and biological properties of ingredients, formulations, packaging, and other associated material, leading to their acceptance, approval, or disposition.
  • Actively monitors, teaches, and enforces plant sanitation policies, GMP's, HACCP, and methods for allergen control
  • Prepares, maintains, monitors, and tracks plant documentation
  • Monitor the departmental efficiency, testing and approval times, yields, scrap loss, and other key indicators
  • Teaches, instructs, and leads plant employees in issues regarding sanitation
  • Accurately prepares and maintains all departmental forms and documents. Monitors the completion of paperwork by other departments, emphasizing optimum record keeping within all plant areas.

By adhering to sanitation procedures, you will help create an environment that prioritizes both safety and quality, contributing significantly to the overall success of our manufacturing operations.
