Job Description
Come join a 50-year-old integration firm that is the go-to provider for some of the most prestigious museums in the United States, with projects located primarily in the greater Washington, D.C., Texas, and New York City areas. We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Lead AV Technician to support the fabrication and installation of highly customized museum experiences.
This role is responsible for leading a team of technicians, coordinating workflow both in the shop and on job sites, maintaining communication with the Management Team, and completing assigned documentation and tasks.
Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Hands-on fabrication and/or installation of complex audiovisual systems
  • Willingness to work daily in Washington, D.C. or Lorton, VA, and travel as needed for remote sites
  • Mounting of projectors, video monitors, and speakers
  • Clear and effective communication with project teams and clients
  • Reading and interpreting construction drawings
  • Coordinating multiple team members in a fast-paced environment
  • Troubleshooting complex AV, IT, electrical, and mechanical exhibit systems
  • Applying working knowledge of basic IT principles and protocols
  • Working with basic PC hardware and operating systems
  • Collaborating as a team-oriented professional
  • Utilizing Microsoft Office 365
  • Applying entry-level project management and coordination skills
  • Demonstrating working knowledge of electronic theory
  • Following OSHA safety guidelines
  • Using entry-level CAD or Visio tools
  • Safely lifting up to 75 lbs
  • Working at heights exceeding 35 feet
  • Guiding and mentoring junior team members
  • Maintaining records and drawings for as-built documentation
  • Self-managing time, priorities, and deadlines

  • Working knowledge of PLC's, Relays, or Ladder Logic
  • Experience in configuring Brightsign or other delivery devices
  • Experience with QSC, Extron, Cisco, Juniper, and Zeevee highly preferred
