Job description

About the role.

The State Management Product Analyst is an entry level member of the Product Management team and will be based out of our Chicago, IL or White Plains, NY office. We are seeking an intelligent, data-minded individual with strong quantitative and analytic skills to assist in the successful implementation of high net worth property and casualty (P&C) insurance products and rates in support of our sustainable growth objectives.

What you'll do.

  • Support the execution of sustainable growth strategies in states by implementing, maintaining and monitoring the respective P&C insurance products.

  • Execute rate reviews and workflows with guidance that achieve target growth and underwriting margin objectives with a focus on member experience. This includes learning to develop rate proposals, state filings for regulatory support, technology specifications, and internal and external communications for all rate and product filings with direction.

  • Assist in cross-functional collaboration with Underwriting, Claims, Marketing, Field Sales and all other stakeholders to successfully and efficiently deliver enhancements to the product suite

  • Support the collaboration with the Actuarial Pricing, Data & Analytics, and Product Development departments in the development of different models using internal and external data to inform product pricing and risk selection decisions

  • Aid in internal and external research to identify emerging trends, member needs and review competitor offerings to inform product innovation

  • Support with direction drafting system requirements and completing user acceptance testing to ensure rate changes and product implementations are delivered as designed with high level of quality

  • Understand and begin to consider the comprehensive member and broker experiences for any touchpoint in the design of given product

What you'll need.

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in an analytical field of study including but not limited to Economics, Finance, Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics, and Risk Management

  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and experience working with data warehouses preferred

  • Strong critical and analytical thinking, quantitative and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-based decisions

  • Experience using software to extract, organize, and analyze data

  • High degree of personal organization, time management skills, and attention to detai.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong relationship building, collaboration, and influencing skills

  • Demonstrated level of curiosity and a growth mindset

  • Highest level of integrity and honesty

The base salary for this role can range from $55,000 to $70,000 based on a full-time work schedule. An individual's ultimate compensation will vary depending on job-related skills and experience, geographic location, alignment with market data, and equity among other team members with comparable experience
