Position Overview
Responsibilities
  • Design prototype fixtures, concept designs, test coupons, and mechanical assemblies in SolidWorks
  • Fabricate and iterate prototypes using rapid prototyping and external machine shops
  • Execute lab bring-up of new fixtures and test platforms; own first-article validation
  • Perform surface profiling, substrate warpage, and TTV measurements
  • Set up and run pressure mapping, electromigration, and compression characterization tests
  • Document test procedures, measurement data, and failure analyses
Required Qualifications
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred; equivalent hands-on experience considered)
  • Able to work full-time on-site in Saratoga CA
  • Proficient in SolidWorks - 3D modeling, assemblies, drawings, GD&T
  • Demonstrated hands-on rapid prototyping experience (FDM, SLA, CNC, or equivalent)
  • Practical lab skills: instrumentation setup, data acquisition, measurement
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment
Nice to Have
  • Experience with precision mechanical systems or semiconductor packaging hardware
  • Surface metrology tools (profilometers, confocal microscopes)
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Python for data analysis or automation
  • Background in thermo-mechanical analysis or substrate/PCB fabrication
