Role Summary

Entry-level Computational Designer to join Sherwood’s NY team, contributing to civil engineering projects using computational technologies. The role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and independent work to develop evidence-based solutions.

Minimum Skills
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design Engineering, Design Technology, Computational Design, Computer Science, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or related field.
  • Basic knowledge of Rhino or Grasshopper
  • Interest in sustainability and environmental modeling
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
  • Good interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in a consulting environment
  • Knowledge of environmental simulation, hydrology modeling (HEC-RAS, Ladybug, CFD, etc.)
  • Proficiency in GIS, Revit, Dynamo, additive manufacturing, robotics, Blender, Unity, BIM, CAD, or Civil 3D
  • Drawing ability and strong design/aesthetic vision
