Automation Engineer, Mid

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced automation engineer for the management of system infrastructure and applications. As an automation engineer at Booz Allen, you can use your technical skills to affect mission-forward change.

You'll work with a cross-functional team to develop and implement automation solutions, maintain and improve our CI/CD pipelines, and work closely with our development and operations teams to ensure the smooth deployment and management of our infrastructure and applications. Additionally, you'll continue to strengthen your DevSecOps skills while supporting the sustainment and development of critical naval platforms.

You Have:

  • Experience with supporting DoD or government agencies

  • Experiencewith troubleshooting, triaging, or resolving automation issues using Ansible or PowerShell

  • Knowledge ofautomation tools including Ansible, version control systems including Git, operating systems including RHEL and Windows, and virtualization including VMware

  • Knowledge of Agile development

  • Ability to develop tools and processes to driveDevSecOpsmaturity by automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments

  • Secret clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with designing and implementing robust, scalable, and efficient CI/CD pipelines

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC)

  • Experience with application containerization

  • Experience with modeling network configuration in JSON and YAML

  • Experience with network automation in Python and Ansible

  • Knowledge of networking principles and concepts

  • Knowledge of API design and object-oriented principles

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
