Schedule
This is a 13-week contract position, with shifts available for both days and nights, consisting of 3x12-hour shifts. Day shifts run from 07:00 to 19:00, and night shifts run from 19:00 to 07:00.
Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Inpatient Psych RN with experience in inpatient psychiatric care. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients, demonstrating professionalism and clinical expertise in various patient scenarios.
Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with mood disorders, primarily within an inpatient setting.
  • Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, including IV teams, physical therapy, social services, and pharmacy, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Administer medications and monitor patients' responses to treatment.
  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record system.
  • Participate in crisis prevention and management, utilizing de-escalation techniques when necessary.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Active RN license in PA or Compact license.
  • Minimum of 1 year of inpatient psychiatric nursing experience.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • CCM or CPI certification preferred.
  • Experience with Cerner charting system is preferred.
