Job description

Cycle Construction is hiring an Entry-Level Project Coordinator (Field Engineer) to support heavy civil and marine construction projects throughout South Louisiana. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career candidates looking to build a long-term career in construction management, field operations, project support, and estimating.
Project Coordinators support both office and field operations, working alongside Project Managers, Superintendents, and Estimators from pre-construction through project closeout.

Work Includes:
  • Supporting projects involving earthwork, concrete, utilities, piling, and marine/coastal restoration
  • Assisting with daily field coordination, jobsite logistics, and project documentation
  • Collecting and submitting daily job tracking documents (tickets, time sheets, invoices, etc.)
  • Helping ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with project plans and specifications
  • Supporting estimating tasks including quantity takeoffs, bid preparation, and subcontractor outreach
  • Assisting Project Managers and Superintendents with scheduling, reporting, and project coordination
  • Participating in project meetings, field inspections, and progress tracking

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related program (or equivalent experience/training)
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
  • Basic understanding of construction means and methods
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Good communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel and Word
  • Ability to work outdoors and in active jobsite conditions

Additional Requirements:
  • Must pass applicable drug test, physical, and pre-employment screening
  • Valid driver's license
  • TWIC card (or ability to obtain)
  • Ability to travel locally as needed
