About the Role

Biztec LLC is looking for a motivated Tech to join our field team. In this hands-on, entry-level role, you'll assist with the installation of commercial physical security systems — access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and low-voltage cabling — working under the direction of lead installers and project managers.

This is a great opportunity for someone with basic electrical skills who wants to build a career in the security integration trade. You'll learn on the job, earn industry certifications over time, and grow your technical skills alongside experienced technicians.

What You'll Do

Assist in the installation of access control, video surveillance, intrusion/alarm, and low-voltage systems under supervision.

Run, pull, and terminate low-voltage cabling in accordance with plans and code.

Mount and install devices such as cameras, card readers, door hardware, sensors, and panels.

Perform basic electrical work, including connecting and testing devices.

Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and installation instructions.

Use hand and power tools safely and correctly.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.

Support senior technicians and take direction from the lead installer or project manager.

Learn company products, systems, and installation standards.

Follow all safety practices and company policies on every job site.

What You Bring

Required

Basic electrical skills and an understanding of low-voltage wiring.

Ability to use hand and power tools safely.

Comfortable working on ladders and lifts, and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

High school diploma or GED.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and dependability.

Preferred

An active electrical, alarm, or low-voltage license.

Prior experience in security, low-voltage, electrical, or construction work.

Familiarity with access control, cameras, or alarm systems.

Travel & Schedule

This role requires weekly travel to job sites.

Per diem is provided, and hotel/lodging is paid for by the company while traveling.

At times, work may follow a 14-day-on / 7-day-off rotation schedule.
