Job Overview
Support the design and development of "new products" and associated production equipment across a diverse range of electronic and electro mechanical assemblies. Apply electrical and mechanical engineering principles, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills to design, develop, and implement custom manufacturing equipment for PCBAs, electronic subassemblies, and electro mechanical final assemblies. Develop production plans, procedures, fixtures, and calibration/preventative maintenance plans for equipment used in both local and global manufacturing. Work as part of a cross functional team to bring new products and processes into full production with a strong focus on safety, quality, and on time delivery. Support corporate and organizational initiatives by applying engineering principles, project management techniques, and problem solving skills across a diverse range of products and production equipment, both locally and globally. This includes efforts such as AMT (Advanced Manufacturing Technology), FPP (Focus and Prioritization Process), simplification, regional manufacturing, supply chain diversification, and other strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
Manage new product introductions by executing the GVR APM process and leading cross functional coordination. 
   Develop and implement standard work, manufacturing processes, and production cells for new products. 
   Provide technical support, training, and guidance to production personnel during product and process releases. 
   Integrate and implement prototype and permanent electronic/mechanical test equipment to support NPI. 
   Collaborate with design, quality, supply chain, and other functions to ensure safety, manufacturability, testability, and cost objectives. 
   Prepare capital justifications for equipment, software, and services required for NPI. 
   Lead continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives across assigned areas. 
   Troubleshoot production issues and implement timely engineering solutions; mentor entry level engineers as needed. 
   Lead regional manufacturing, simplification, and supply chain diversification projects across business units. 
   Communicate effectively, work independently with minimal supervision, and champion improvement workshops (Kaizens) and AMT opportunities.
   Works directly with Manufacturing Engineers, Senior Test Engineers, Associate Test Engineers, Area Supervisors, Materials Procurement, Design Engineers, Cell Operators, equipment vendors, members of management, other NPI Engineers, and global cross functional teams
