Position Description & Qualifications Looking for a challenging technical position supporting acquisition of U.S. Navy warfare systems? As an Entry-Level Engineer, you will join an integrated government-industry team based at our Washington, D.C. location around the historic Washington Navy Yard right by Nationals Stadium, supporting the customer's Surface Ship Radar acquisition program office. Use your technical and collaborative skills to positively impact our national defense and make a difference in support of the world's greatest Navy. Serco supports the design, production, test, and fielding of the U.S. Navy's most complex surface ship radar systems and support the Shipyard Integration Lead's efforts to provide technical advice, recommendations, and solutions for emerging engineering issues and topics. In this role, you will: * Support system requirements management and related analysis activities, including but not limited to: * Supporting configuration control board meetings and deliverables. * Tracking and coordinating equipment deliveries and installation schedules. * Trace and oversee the allocation of requirements and alignment with platform and combat systems requirements. * Provide technical advice, recommendations, and solutions for emerging engineering issues and topics (e.g., advise on design drawings). * Learn quickly from Subject Matter Experts and rapidly contribute to the highest priority efforts. * Provide meeting attendance/support, presentation development/support, publication support, correspondence, action item tracking/closure, and weekly reporting. * Provide inputs to overarching programmatic briefs as required. To be successful in this role, you will have: * Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance * US Citizenship * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other related technical degree. * An Associates Degree and 2 years of additional experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree or a High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of additional experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree. * 1 year of experience. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite programs, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. * Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. * Demonstrated forward thinking and proactive problem-solving skills. * Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. Additional desired experience and skills: * An Active or Current DOD Secret Clearance. * Knowledge and experience managing Naval shipyard communications, maintenance, installation, or testing schedules. * Demonstrated understanding of engineering/design drawings to decipher and interpret technical information. * Familiarity with the DOD acquisition process and/or experience with warfare sensor systems.
