Job description

We have an outstanding opportunity for a self-motivated entry-level engineer in our Sacramento office who enjoys teamwork and collaboration, technical challenges, and solving our clients’ most difficult problems. You will be supported by multiple mentors and local office leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with a design team from initial studies and conceptual design through construction.
  • Assist in preparing engineering deliverables, including planning studies, condition assessments, engineering calculations, design reports, and design drawings and specifications.
  • Manage data for modeling and design.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure project success.
  • Attend client and internal project management meetings.
  • Coordinate with manufacturers and vendors to select equipment.
  • Support multiple projects from planning through construction.
  • Participate in site visits as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited U.S. program (other engineering degrees considered case by case).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong interest in the water/wastewater industry.
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience within the water/wastewater industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • EIT certification.
  • Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Basic proficiency in GIS, CAD/BIM, Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, or hydraulic & hydrologic modeling software.
  • Strong communication skills, self-motivation, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Educational background in water resources, water or wastewater treatment, stormwater, and/or conveyance and collection systems.
