Job Title

Production Associate Cartersville - 2nd and 3rd shift

Position Overview

Shaw Industries is looking to hire and train associates who will play an important role in our manufacturing and distribution activities. As a Production Associate, you will learn and grow your skills and capabilities which will set you up for future advancement within the organization. No prior manufacturing experience is necessary. Training is provided for all entry-level roles.

Below are just some of the positions that you will be considered for when you apply for this job posting:

  • Creeler - This production associate places yarn cones onto holders (creels) to feed yarn into carpet manufacturing (tufting) machines. No experience is required.
  • Tufting Operator - This production associate runs the carpet manufacturing machines (tufting), ensures high quality carpet production, and ensures a safe work environment. No experience is required.
  • Compounding Operator - This production associate runs machines to help convert pellets or chips into usable fibers or strands that make up the carpets we produce. No experience is required.
  • Tile Reclaim Operator - This production associate operates and troubleshoots machines that sort and separate carpet scrap to support the recycling of materials. No experience is required.
  • Lift Truck Operator - This production and distribution associate will learn to operate various forklifts, lift trucks, and other material handling vehicles to support shipping, receiving, and manufacturing activities. No experience is required.

Qualifications:

  • Each role has different lifting, reach, and physical movement requirements. Typical requirements include the ability to bend, stoop, reach, pull, and push repetitively.
  • May need to climb ladders and stairs depending on the position.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 15lbs.
